We have this hope as an anchor for the soul

Tonight I heard an incredible sermon by Pastor Chad Veach of Zoe Church LA. It got me fired up and I hope what God spoke to me through this sermon fires you up as well.

He talked about a woman in the bible from Nain, she was a widow and her son had just died. She was on her way to bury him when Jesus felt compassion toward her and told her "do not weep". Jesus went up to the casket and said "young man, I say to you, arise" and the young man sat up, began to speak and was presented to his mother. The report of this went out to all Judea and surrounding regions. You can read the full story in Luke 7:11-17

Some of us are spiritually dead! We have no joy, we have lost hope, we have broken dreams and broken hearts. But I declare you are no longer dead but alive in Jesus. In Romans 8:11 It says "The spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by the same spirit living in you."

The same spirit that raised JESUS from the DEAD is living in YOU! Do you realize how much power you have through God? You have to start using that power and speaking life over your situations. You have to invite God into your heart, to heal you and mend you and make you new. You have to give those dreams to God and let him put them into affect, after all, who do you think gave you those dreams in the first place? If you are down in the valley looking up at the mountain top right now, YOU WILL NOT STAY THERE! Don't lose hope, if you are in a season of struggling, praise God through it because that means your blessing is on it's way. He is growing you and molding you for that blessing! You need to be prepared for what God has for you. We have to have more faith and hope that God know what he's doing.

He knows where you are at in life, he meets you right where you are. Like Pastor Chad said tonight "stop looking for the evidence of God's absence and start seeing the evidence of his presence." God is there in the midst of your struggle and he's asking you, are you going to trust me? are you going to have faith? Having REAL faith in the middle of a trial is THE HARDEST thing to do. I know, I have been there. BUT I can also tell you that our God is a faithful God and will see you through it. He keeps his promises to us and never leaves us. God never does anything to hurt us but to grow us. We need to go through certain things to be able to endure other things in our seasons to come. We need to go through things to be able to help others who will be faced with the same things. Lastly, we need to go through things so that God will get the glory through our miraculous testimonies.

So don't lose hope! Begin to love again. begin to dream again! God makes all things work together for our good! He will never leave you nor forsake you! He is doing a new thing in you! Don't look back, keep moving forward! Keep trusting God and praising him along the way!

Jesus is telling you ARISE! I have more for you! It's not over until I say it's over! Don't give up on me, because I will never give up on you!

"He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." Philippians 1:6
